Tall tales and short ruminations from a law student

Tuesday, November 23, 2004
My hits have spiked this week. I think several visitors are from AL, who I have some pent-up rage against. I'm irritated with lawyers, and partners in particular, who think law students have it so easy now. Give me a break. Maybe they got cold-called harder, but they had half as much reading to prepare. They were taught by practitioners, not academics; academics love reading and think everyone else does too. The curve they experienced was a softball. They didn't accrue the kind of debt law students today labor under. They only competed with half the population. When they started working, partners could control their clients' whims. They surely never billed 2300 hours in their first year. Partners are reptilian control freaks with man-boobs where their souls should be.

Welcome, new visitors! Rest assured that I don't study, work, comprehend the curve, or look at those pesky debt collection notices. My sole purpose is to write you an entertaining post.
